Psychodrama for use in organisations
Professional uses
Psychodrama can be used in a variety of ways. One method of using psychodrama is by understanding the sociometry of a group, in other words the group dynamic.
It is so much more engergising to ask participants to stand and place themselves around the room in order of certain criteria. e.g. how many of the group work in the same office, how many share the same manager, how many work the same hours.
By asking participants to move to these issues, it is much easier for the trainer to understand the underlying themes of the group than it is to do a ´round robin´ of everyone saying their names and where they work.
The main thrust of psychodrama in the training room is that it is interactive, dynamic, tackles the underlying issues, is safe and gets results.
The exercises are fun and informative.
Psychodrama can be used to explore:
- Away Days
- Team Building
- Group Dynamics
- Leadership Skills
- Managing Conflict
- Work/Life Balance
- Diversity
- Customer Care
- Emotional Management
Generally the work is tailor made to suit the clients´ specific needs and the techniques are incorporated into the overall programme.
